Quality production scanning & indexing
Quality production scanning & indexing
Over 10 Billion Images and 1 Billion Records Processed
From 1996 to 1999, company founders were configuring early-version digital filing solutions for the US military and Fortune 500 companies. System use exceeded expectations, however the scanning process varied widely from customer to customer. Scanning and filing is slow, labor intensive and prone to error making it the weakest point of the process.
We asked ‘why?’ and ‘what makes the difference?’. We found two answers: Operator dedication and Process Engineering. We were determined to combine a savvy HR selection process with quality system engineering in a way that could accurately and predictably file records into a customer’s system. The process has been running since 2007.
Today, our customers benefit from the combination of our exclusive 7-step interview to on-boarding and selection process with continuous production system engineering. It is a hallmark of our core competency to Extract, Transform and Load customer records and information.
Founded in 1999, FreeDoc ® provides records scanning and indexing for enterprise solutions in Aerospace, Education, Government, Healthcare, Heavy Manufacturing, Schools and Utility Districts. Today, our solutions manage more than ten billion electronic images.
Every project awarded is completed with 100% accuracy, guaranteed.
We are exclusively committed to ‘page-by-page’ Quality Assurance checks. Something unique in the industry. Our indexing measures .999999 accuracy. This is the result of combining skilled staff with durable, well engineered technologies.

FreeDoc ® delivers.
We Take The Pain Out Of Scanning, Indexing & Validating.
FreeDoc has invested $2 million into technology & process improvement. From 2009 to 2012, we ran two production lines for document scanning. One with Kofax scanning software. One with PSIGEN scanning software. After 3 years, we compared results. Since 2013, our production line has used PSIGEN exclusively.
We depend on them so you can depend on us. For high accuracy of physical records capture, we do the work right or we correct it, guaranteed.

We work with you. Each project begins by understanding the records, data systems, and your organizational structure. We support the business process behind the records. Together, we develop a clear vision of the end results.
The future end-state of the document moves from the file cabinet to an electronic file library of some sort. It might be an ECM. It might be SharePoint, Office 365, or the Windows DIR.
As a best practice, a records search should be done the same way, whether past or future. Learn how past records were filed by geographic location. This can be captured in the character of the document. Going forward this changes. We help you make the digital conversion. We explain how.
From there, the process is documented & tested. We develop the internal workflows to efficiently convert the records to their final form.
We do it all in-house. Our seven-step hiring process has located the right people for the job. Well compensated with good benefits, they are great at their work. Averaging 6 years tenure of employment with FreeDoc, our Production Team has skill and experience rarely found today. They can tackle work with full accuracy.
Our work is perfect. The walls of our Lynnwood office are lined with sunshine letters from clients for whom we do ECM scanning services. We would love to frame and post yours!
Uncover the requirements for search, integration & retention.
Each box of records is carefully scanned by a trained operator at our facility.
Intelligent multi-feed detection technology combines with diligence to ensure compete capture: Every page, every time.
Once in digital form, each page goes through a quality assurance step where its quality is checked to ensure compliance with customer expectations.
During indexing, advanced data extraction technology is utilized to pull metadata off pages automatically, and manual indexing serves as a backup in specialty cases.
Each record then goes through another quality assurance stage, this time to ensure accurate and complete metadata is attached to each record.
Prior to migration, records may be run through optical character recognition to enable full-text content search.
In migration, each record is uploaded in its complete form to the system specified by the customer.
Records are loaded directly from our records processing software, ensuring quick and complete records delivery.
