Upland Software typically releases a major new version of its FileBound software every few years and issues minor updates several times per year. As of this blog post, the most current version of FileBound is version 7.5, released in September of 2020. The 7.5 release included several new features and helpful changes. Most notably, an updated web viewer with an enhanced User Interface, as well as additional options that enable advanced workflow integration with Microsoft 365, formerly Office 365. FileBound also continues to improve and expand its capabilities in the cloud computing environment.

Cloud computing technologies, including cloud-native, cloud-based and cloud-enabled applications are already having a significant impact on both the public and private sector workplace. Remote working options have become a necessity for many organizations, and cloud computing technologies are at the forefront of many game-changing computer applications that are facilitating these changes. Enterprise Content Management and Document Management systems are no different than other software systems that have seen increasing adoption and migration to cloud computing environments because they provide greater agility, security and access to computing resources.
